Chapter 16 Reading Questions
getting to know the objectives
1. Go to Google Keep by clicking here. Google Keep is a note-taking/list-making tool to help you be productive. You can take notes and make to-do lists that are shareable with individuals. Also, you can automatically send what you write in notes to a Google Doc, so this makes Google Keep a great brainstorming tool before you actually commit to writing anything down in a document.
2. Add a regular note (not a list) for each of the major Chapter 16 objectives. Title it with the topic(s) of the objective.
3. Answer the sub-objectives in paragraph form in each of your notes. These should be in your own words, not copied from the text, Wikipedia, or any other source!
4. Share each of your notes with a partner - and they should share their notes with you. Review their notes to make sure their answers are at a level 9 (Check for copying! Don't let them copy!) and that the objectives are completely answered in a coherent form - not in a list-like manner. Give them feedback in their note to help them improve it. Then have them fix anything that needs fixing!
5. Take the exit slip when Mrs. E tells you to do so.

2. Explain how Love Canal is connected to CERCLA (Superfund).
3. What would have been the best way for the chemical company to dispose of their hazardous waste?
