Using the diagram below, explain all of the stages of the rock cycle. Then, explain why the rock cycle is environmentally important. When you're done, get up and continue working on the Geology activities.
a) Explain how volcanoes form at subduction boundaries.
b) Explain how earthquakes occur at either a subduction boundary or a transform boundary. When you're finished, continue working on the Geology Activities at the back lab tables. They need to be completed by Wednesday - after that, we're moving on! Why would we study plate tectonics in an environmental science class?
